Student School Grief Support Group

Do you know a student who has encountered the death of a family member, loved one or friend? Through a cooperative agreement with OCPS, AdventHealth Hospice offers a Student Grief Support Group to students who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, grandparent, or friend, by providing a place for students to express their feelings and learn healthy, age-appropriate coping skills. We facilitate a 45 minute, six-week educational program at school and at no charge. Sessions are facilitated by a licensed mental health counselor, specially trained in bereavement education for children.
If you know of any student who attends Chain of Lakes and may benefit from grief support, please click this link to complete the information:  Grief Support Group Link.

Talking to Kids About Vaping

Vaping poses significant health risks to middle and high school students, affecting both their physical well-being and academic focus. We encourage you to review these materials to help start an open, informed conversation with your child about the dangers of vaping and how to make healthy choices.

Hispanic Heritage Spirit Week

Our students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a fun Spirit Week! Students participated in lunch trivia games to test their knowledge of Hispanic history and wore festive attire throughout the week. Our staff held a delicious staff luncheon filled with food, music, and fun! The media center was beautifully decorated with colorful paper flowers, balloons, and festive table décor created by our talented Art Club.
